A one-of-a-kind coffee table built from materials that were each heading for demolition — a damaged glass-top steel frame and reclaimed roof timber that had seen decades of use before finding a second life together.
The hand-carved timber panel sits beneath the glass, its ripple detail and natural grain catching the light differently throughout the day — warm in the morning, cooler in the afternoon, always shifting. No two moments with this table look the same.
The powder-coated steel frame has been fully restored and is solid throughout. The glass top carries minor surface scratches from its previous life, visible only under certain lighting and at certain angles — a reminder of where it came from.
Built and finished by hand in Melbourne. There is only one.
